The University of Alaska Anchorage offers 26 Master’s degree programs along with a number of Graduate Certificate programs. UAA also offers cooperative/collaborative Master’s and Ph.D. programs with the University of Alaska Fairbanks, the University of Washington Medical School, Creighton University and East Carolina University. UAA enrolls over 1000 students in graduate studies from all 50 states and territories.

Dean Dr. Helena Wisniewski and Associate Dean Dr. David Yesner extend a warm welcome to the new and returning Graduate Students of the University of Alaska Anchorage for the Spring 2012 semester.  Our office is located in the Diplomacy Building.  We occupy Suite 101 on the first floor.  We hope that you will feel free to visit our office whenever you need our assistance.  We look forward to seeing you here.  We strive to make Graduate School experience a positive one.


Dr. Wisniewski,  Dean of the Graduate School, has responsibility and oversight for graduate programs.  The Graduate School is responsible for directing the implementation of this oversight in collaboration with UAA's Deans and graduate committees, including the Graduate Council and the Graduate Academic Board.

The Graduate School is located in the Diplomacy Building at 4500 Diplomacy Drive, Suite 101, near the Alaska Native Medical Center.

Graduate School Hours:
       Monday - Thursday:  9:00 am - 6:00 pm (later by appointment)
       Friday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm

The  Office of the Graduate School will be closed May 28 for the Memorial Day holiday.
