Formatting for Thesis/Dissertation
This workshop uses Microsoft 2010 Word to assist graduate students working on a thesis or dissertation to properly format documents that meet UAA Graduate School requirements. Bring a file (flash drive) to work on in class. Includes cover pages, references and citations, tables, lists, and fi nalizing/printing. May also be taken by students submitting a final project.

Individual tutoring is available by appointment for $45.00 per hour. Call 786.6790 for appointment.

Basic Computer Skills Level I
Designed for the new computer user, this class familiarizes individuals with a personal computer and its operating system as well as introduces how to organize and manage files. Basic Computer Skills Level II
This second level class is designed for those with a bit more experience using computers. Learn to create and use an email account; navigate the Internet and understand basic search engine usage; and create, edit and save online job applications. Learn basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills for letters and resumes and to manage simple spreadsheets in Excel.

Computer Essentials for Today 
Learn to successfully and effectively navigate the Internet based on understanding the structure of online information. Develop basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.  Participants will receive a basic overview of presentation software and relational databases. Course fees include a student workbook and flash drive.

Grammar Refresher
Gain confidence in your ability to produce clean, grammatically correct work. You'll explore the basics of English grammar—such as sentence structure and punctuation—as well as more sophisticated concepts, e.g., logic and clarity. Reacquaint yourself with forgotten rules, meet some new ones, and discover your grammatical strengths.
