Meal Plans

Each meal plan provides a block of all-you-care-to-eat "meals" in the Creekside Eatery, along with varying amounts of declining-balance "dining dollars" that may be used at all Seawolf Dining establishments on campus.  You pay for your meal plan once per semester, and this information is then loaded onto your WOLFcard, allowing you to simply swipe your card for coffee, snacks, meals, etc.

If your schedule is such that you are not able to make it to the Creekside, meal plan participants are able to exchange "meal swipes" for a equivalent value of $5.00 towards your purchase at all of our other venues – including Subway, Mein Bowl, Fireside Café, Starbucks, Cuddy Marketplace, Daily Grind, and Union Station.

Meal plan packages, 2011-2012*:

*Students residing in the Residence Halls are required to select one of the following packages.

Block 75 meals + $800 in dining dollars-             $1700 a semester

Block 100 meals + $700 in dining dollars-            $1750 a semester

Block 150 meals + $600 in dining dollars-            $1800 a semester

Block 200 meals + $400 in dining dollars-            $1900 a semester

Commuter students, faculty or employees have the additional choice of:
"Seawolf Spirit" Plan: Block 50 + $200 in dining dollars-        $800 a semester

Meal blocks a
re packaged to be used within a single semester, however we try to design these plans to offer maximum flexibility.  Plan participants are able to use more than one meal swipe per meal time—meaning that if mom and dad visit, or you wish to treat a friend to dinner, you are able to use as many swipes as you like on a single occasion.  Unused meal blocks expire at the end of each semester and do not carry over, so please review your class schedule, work hours, planned travel away from Anchorage, or anything else that might affect the number of times you are likely to dine on campus prior to selecting a plan.

Dining dollars operate on a declining-balance basis, and are deducted from your account each time you make a purchase.  If you have a meal plan during the Fall semester and continue to participate in this program in the Spring, thereby keeping your meal plan membership active, your unused dining dollars will carry over to the second semester.  Dining dollars are not valid on campus during Summer sessions, and we are unable to carry dining dollars balances over from Fall to Spring for participants that no longer have an active meal plan membership.  This means that if you have a meal plan in the Fall but cancel or choose not to participate for the Spring, you will not have access to unused dining dollars, as you will not have an active meal plan account on your WOLFcard.  Seawolf Dining is also unable to carry unused dining dollar balances over from the end of one academic/budget year to the next, so participants should bear in mind that all unused balances will be forfeit at the end of each Spring semester

All dining venues run by Seawolf Dining accept meal blocks or the $5 equivalencies, dining dollars, cash, credit cards and WOLFbucks.

Please note, UAA Perk at the University Center and the Lucy Cuddy Fine Dining Room in the Culinary Arts Department are not part of Seawolf Dining, and therefore do not accept meal swipes or dining dollars.

If you have any questions or do not feel that you have a clear understanding of how the meal plan memberships work, please contact the
University Housing office.
The staff of Seawolf Dining truly care about students, and want you to have a good experience eating on campus.  Our managers are  happy to meet with you to discuss special dietary concerns, or to work through which plan may best suit your needs.

All students living in the residence halls are required to
to choose from the Block 75, 100, 150 or 200 Plans.

Apartment residents are not required to purchase a meal membership, however participating in one of the pre-paid plans is an easy way to ensure convenient access to a sustaining meal, and the social benefits of dining in the Creekside Eatery can help keep you connected to your fellow students in the residential community.

** The "Spirit" Plan is available ONLY to commuter students, employees, and residents of the MAC and Templewood apartments.

All rates are effective as of March 2, 2011 for the 2011-2012 academic year, and are subject to change.
