Students should be able to solve mathematical problems using logic-based methodologies.
Students should be able to demonstrate traditional mathematical methods in Calculus, Abstract and Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Real and Complex Analysis, and Probability.
Students should be confident in their mastery of subject matter required for the mathematics degrees.

Students should be assigned an academic faculty advisor when they declare as a mathematics major.
