On Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 from 4pm to 6pm, the UAA Montgomery Dickson
Center for Japanese Language & Culture, the UAA Japanese Program, and
the Consular Office of Japan, Anchorage, Alaska will be hosting the
Japan-U.S. Cherry Blossom Centennial Kimono Lecture & Fashion Show.
Two kimono dressers and speakers, Ms. Sueko Oshimoto and Mr. Kentaro
Terauchi, along with stylist Ms. Chika Nomura from the Kimono Suehiro Agency will be here in Anchorage
to teach about kimonos as well as give us a fabulous fashion show. For those new to the subject, kimonos are the traditional clothing of Japan.
