Ramen Day

Come join us on Saturday, February 15th from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Dimond High School Auditeria for our free event "Ramen Day". Barak Kushner, Professor at Cambridge University, England and author of Slurp! A Culinary and Social History of Ramen - Japan's Favorite Noodle Soup, will give a talk about the history and culture of Japanese ramen. Following the talk, there will be an inexpensive tasting fundraiser with different flavors of ramen of various soups and toppings--all homemade here in Anchorage. Join in on the deliciousness! This cultural event brought to you by UAA's Monty Dickson Center along with the Japan Foundation Center for Global Partnership, and the Anchorage School District World Languages Program.
