Course Descriptions

Need a course description from a class that you have previously
taken at UAA or ACC?
 

Course Descriptions are brief synopses of university classes which are often used to help evaluate courses that are being transferred to other academic institutions. 
The University of Alaska Anchorage maintains catalog course descriptions for all University of Alaska Anchorage and Anchorage Community College classes.
The University of Alaska Anchorage course catalogs from 1998 through the present are available online at the catalog and schedule page. You may find course descriptions for those years there.

If you need course descriptions from prior to 1998, UAA can provide you with copies. Requests for course descriptions can be submitted via e-mail, mail, fax, or in person to the Office of the Registrar. All request for course descriptions should include:

  • Title and course number of the course
  • At what campus the course was taken
  • Year and semester that the course was taken
  • Where to send the course description
Please note that course descriptions are general overviews of courses that have been offered at the University of Alaska Anchorage and Anchorage Community College. Course descriptions do not include earned grades or GPA information.
