Fall 2013 Priority Registration FAQ

 PR_FALL13 NEW jmn

What is the reasoning behind priority registration? In response to student feedback regarding the registration process, UAA implemented priority registration to provide a more helpful and stable registration experience in UAOnline. Priority registration helps manage the volume of student requests hitting UAOnline at once and helps prevent systems slowness and/or system crashes.

Why do upper division students register first? We believe this will help students register for the correct classes earlier and assist those closest to graduation.

Can I be on UAOnline during a registration priority that does not belong to me so that I can search for available classes? Yes. However, we recommend you conduct your class searches between the hours of 3am-11pm.

How do I find my class standing? Class standing is determined by total number of credits earned at UAA.  Students can check their status in UAOnline on the Check Your Registration Eligibility screen found under the registration tab.

Who are eligible pending degree-seeking students? These are students who have applied for admission for fall 2013 but have yet to complete all of their admission requirements. Note: If you are a spring 2013 pending degree-seeking student and want to be eligible to register, you must: a) complete your admission if you attended classes in spring 2013 or b) postpone your application for admission to fall 2013 if you did not attend spring 2013 or c) submit a non-degree-seeking application for fall 2013.

Do I have to register on my priority registration day or can I register later? You can register for classes on the opening day or anytime thereafter before the add/drop deadline.

When is the deadline to apply for Fall Term 2013?  June 15, 2013
