Timely Notification

When circumstances warrant, UPD and/or the Dean of Students Office issue special crime alerts. Depending on the circumstance, alerts are distributed campus-wide and to selected populations (i.e., residential students).

Alerts may be distributed in several different ways: posting on campus bulletin boards, building entries, or other public places; fax, voice mail, or e-mail transmissions to University staff and students; announcements in classes; or official press releases.
