UAA Bonnie Martin McGee Memorial Nursing Scholarship

The purpose of the Bonnie Martin McGee Scholarship is to provide financial assistance to full-time students who are enrolled in the nursing program at UAA.  Financial need will be the primary consideration in choosing the recipient.  First preference will be given to students enrolled in the four year program, however, associate degree students able to demonstrate severe financial need will also be considered.

Award amount is a minimum $1,000 per academic year

Qualifications:

• Financial need will be the primary consideration in choosing a recipient.
• Applicant should demonstrate motivation, and academic and leadership potential.
• Applicant must have been an Alaska resident for at least three years.
• Applicant must have successfully completed a clinical nursing course.
• Applicant must be in good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 and a nursing GPA of 2.5.
• Chosen recipient(s) must be enrolled in at least 9 nursing credits.
