The Seawolf Debate
Program and the UAA Department of Philosophy are pleased to cooperate to bring
you the third annual University of Alaska Ethics Bowl. Inaugurated in 2011 by the University of
Alaska Fairbanks’ Socratic Society, the tournament this year returns to
Anchorage for the third incarnation.
The Ethics Bowl offers the opportunity for undergraduates to apply
their knowledge of argument and ethics to case studies in a competitive
environment designed to test reasoning, advocacy and critical thinking. Information about the competition may be
found in the tournament rules and procedures section of this site. Judges will find information about evaluating
the teams competing in the adjudication guidelines and criteria sections.
This year's competition was held on
Saturday, October 27 on UAA's campus. Please check back here in fall of 2013 for information regarding next year's competition.
Congratulations to the 2012 winning team of
Drew Cason and Caleb Gordon!

And a huge thank you to all of our particpants, volunteers, and judges.
