The following topics will be used at the April 27, 2013 Alaska MSPDP Championship Tournament. At the Begich Invitational, the participating coaches met and decided that they would prefer to use four topics for the Championship. During the preliminary rounds, each team will debate on both the Proposition and Opposition of two of the topics. Both the semifinal and final rounds will use a distinct topic.
The topics are as follows:
The State of Alaska should
adopt a school voucher program that would include the ability to access public
funds for religious education.
The United States should prohibit
the production, importing and sale of genetically modified salmon.
Children under the age of 16
should be prohibited from participating in beauty pageants.
All middle schools should require student uniforms.
