Emerging Leaders Program

Everyone can be a leader!  Learn how you can be an active contributor in your community!

Thank you for your interest in the UAA Emerging Leaders Program.  This program will foster tremendous growth in you as a leader on campus and in your community.  You will be afforded the opportunity of interactive training, experiential learning and personally meaningful service work.  In addition, you will gain courage, confidence and valuable insight into yourself and your community that will allow you to succeed at every level.

Emerging Leaders Program has three levels of learning that build upon each other, which are completed in four semesters. Each level will have a maximum of 25-30 participants in one cohort with the intent that each group will move through the levels together so as to create partnership and support among the members of the cohort. Throughout all levels, students will participate in leadership retreats, topic-specific workshops, community engagement opportunities, speaker series, mentorship opportunities and national conferences.  Also, Level III participants will develop a UAA Leadership Conference that will occur in mid-spring each year.

Level 1    Leadership Essentials: Individual Values

Level 2    Leadership Essentials: Group Values

Level 3    Leadership Capstone: Societal/Community Values
