Question for Betty.

Can milia be present on your vaginal area?

Betty's Answer.

The lesions that you are noting in your vaginal area are probably not milia. Milia are tiny, white, dome shaped cysts that commonly occur on the face, especially around the eyes.  They can arise spontaneously or after injury to the skin. Common lesions in the vaginal area include molluscum contagiosum, genital warts, herpes simplex virus, epidermal cysts or folliculitis. It would be a good idea to have these lesions evaluated by a health care provider.  You can make an appointment to be seen at the SHCC.
