Fifty-four Alaska middle school students spent two weeks of their summer break participating
in the ExxonMobil Bernard Harris Summer Science Camp, giving them the opportunity
to get ahead in math and science, meet inspiring role models and experience college
life. Dr. Bernard Harris, the first African American to walk in space, visited UAA's
campus on Friday, July 30, to participate in the students' raft building competition.
