UAA and Creighton University collaborate to offer distance-delivered Doctor of Pharmacy degree; information session set for Oct. 4

The University of Alaska Anchorage and Creighton University in Omaha announce a collaborative relationship to offer a distance educational pathway leading to Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD) from Creighton University.

This program will allow students to remain in place geographically for a significant portion of the four professional years required for the pharmacy degree. The program is a validated and accredited distance education pathway offered by Creighton University School of Pharmacy and Health Professions (SPAHP) and is the only web-based professional pharmacy program in the United States. The University of Alaska is able to offer this opportunity to students in the University of Alaska System.

UAA and Creighton University will hold an important informational session for students interested in pursuing pharmacy practice as a career choice. This session will be held on Monday, Oct. 4, from 2-4 p.m. in the UAA/APU Consortium Library, Room 307. Faculty members from Creighton's School of Pharmacy and Health Professions will present information on the program, to include:
