Seminar series on risk/reward of offshore resource development continues Nov. 11 with talks by Andrew Metzger and Hajo Eicken

Andrew Metzger of the Department of Civil and Evironmental Engineering at the University of Alaska Fairbanks will give a talk on the engineering aspects of ice-related risks to offshore structures. Hajo Eicken of the Geophysical Institute and International Arctic Research Center will discuss assessing environmental risks in coastal and offshore resource development. Both speakers will be live in Fairbanks and streamed to other locations.

This talk is sponsored by the University of Alaska North by 2020 Forum. It is part of the seminar series titled Defining Risk in Arctic Coastal and Offshore Resource Development: Perspectives and International Standards.
