The Chancellor’s Choice Award

Faculty (including Adjunct Faculty) or staff | Two awards per year, one awardee from the Anchorage campus and one awardee selected from a community campus.

Award for achievement and/or innovation (best idea) in a category/theme of the Chancellor's choice. The theme for 2024 Chancellor's Choice Award centers on philanthropic excellence. 

While fundraising professional play a crucial role in the success of university philanthropic initiatives, they couldn't be as successful without the support of faculty and staff.  Faculty and staff actively engage with donors, fostering relationships and providing valuable expertise on the impact of philanthropic investments in their respective fields.  They contribute to stewardship by sharing insights and helping identify potential donors and funding opportunities. 

Criteria

  • Shows exceptional leadership in philanthropic fundraising 
  • Has a proven track record of collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to identify or secure philanthropic dollars
  • Demonstrates exemplary stewardship of philanthropic funds and donors
