Fall Virtual Model United Nations

The third annual Fall Virtual Model United Nations Conference will be held on Zoom on Saturday, Nov. 18, between 8:50 a.m. and 4 p.m. Interested in the United Nations? This is perfect for you. No prior experience is required, but if you have participated before you are certainly welcome to attend.

COVID home tests at the UAA/APU Consortium Library

UAA Risk Management has once again provided the Consortium Library with home COVID-19 test kits to distribute to students, staff and faculty. The kits include two rapid home tests offering results within 15 minutes. These are best used if you are experiencing symptoms. Please come to the Main Circulation Desk to pick up the test kits for you and your family at your earliest convenience.

Don’t forget your free spikies!

Now that the parking lots and sidewalks are starting to get icy, don’t forget that free spikies (winter foot traction devices) are available to UAA employees again this year at the Main Circulation Desk at the Consortium Library.

The Office of the Registrar will host registration information tables on campus to answer any questions related to registration: priority registration dates, deadlines, prerequisites and overrides, class search and more.

Flu and COVID-19 vaccines at the Health Fair

Flu and COVID-19 vaccines will be provided at the Fall Health and Wellness Fair next week on Thursday, Nov. 9, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Student Union Cafeteria. Flu shots are $15 and COVID boosters are free! All students, staff and faculty are eligible — bring ID and insurance card (if applicable). Cash not accepted; students can charge account. There will also be free pie!

Save the date for two upcoming trainings offered by ComPsych: Preventing Burnout on Nov. 17; and Acceptance of Others on Dec. 8. Trainings are free for all employees.

Enrollment Services closed Oct. 31 from noon-1 p.m. and Nov. 3 all day

The Enrollment Services lobby and call center will be closed on Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 12-1 p.m. for an all-staff event. We will also be closed on Nov. 3 all day. Please reach out to the individual departments with any questions you may have during this time. Access to GSS will be available.
