Description: The State of Alaska, Department of Health and Social Services, Division of Senior and Disabilities Services is building an SDS Project Team to direct the design, development and implementation of an enhanced information system to help in the management of programs they administer which serve seniors and people with disabilities.

This Data Processing Manager I position will be the Project Manager responsible for project oversight of contractor scope of work; management of state project staff;  facilitation of workgroups and other meetings;  monitoring of the project budget; preparation and submission of required reports and updates to federal agencies;  facilitation of  involvement of State subject matter experts in project activities;  reporting of project status;  coordination of other State agencies;  communication with stakeholders;  and verification of appropriate sign off on project deliverables.

Position:  Information System Coordinator for the “Provider Portal and Automated Service Plan Project”

  This Information System Coordinator position will be the project team’s system analyst responsible for aiding in the overall implementation of the new system; assisting in the clean-up and conversion of legacy data; identification and implementation of the required hardware / software resources and establishment of training and user acceptance testing (UAT) environments in collaboration with the contractor; as well as monitoring the implementation of Web Services.

The Construction Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Project Manager by keeping detailed project records including organizing & documenting meetings, recording & distributing meeting minutes. The successful candidate must be able to read & understand contract documents including drawings, specifications, subcontracts & purchase agreements. The position will be responsible for the full submittal process from preparing and maintaining the submittal log through final submission of the Operations & Maintenance Manuals. The Candidate must have strong computer skills and competent use of Microsoft programs and able to prepare competent written correspondence. Under the direction of the Vice President, Real Estate, provide management oversight and administration throughout the planning, execution, monitoring and closing phases of real estate construction and development projects. Assist with property acquisitions, various projects, real estate planning and development activities, and planning and reporting activities.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction management, civil engineering or architecture, Master's degree preferred, and eight years progressively responsible experience in construction management, project management, real estate construction, scheduling, business financial analysis or related area.  PMP designation preferred.
