Mapworks helps remove barriers to student success

Students first arriving at UAA to begin their college experience sometimes find bumpiness on that path. Perhaps they're homesick, struggling in class, feeling isolated and friendless. Mapworks surveys identify problems so UAA staff and faculty can reach out to help solve them, and keep a student on track.

Top teams in Debating Alaska’s Fiscal Future competition to face off at UAA April 1, 2017

The top eight teams in the Debating Alaska’s Fiscal Future contest will compete Saturday, April 1 at the University of Alaska Anchorage for a chance to win part of $10,000 in total scholarship prizes. More information about the tournament and how to attend the final round will be released via the Seawolf Debate Facebook page in the coming weeks.

The Bookstore's Grad Fair is your one-stop to get ready for the Spring Commencement ceremony. At Grad Fair, you will be able to get class rings, announcements, diploma frames, graduation or business photos, caps, gowns, tassels, and your tickets for commencement.

Offering an oasis for breast-feeding mothers, on UAA's campus

LactoPod

Mothers who choose to breast-feed their children now have a calm, private place to do so, here on the UAA campus. A ribbon-cutting (with refreshments!) will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, March 24, for UAA's new Mamava lactation pod in the Student Union.
