Dr. Bard E. O'Neill presents 'The Political, Social and Economic Roots of Political Violence and Terrorism in the Middle East,' Sept. 5

Bard E. O'Neill, Ph.D., is professor of international affairs and director of Studies of Internal Warfare and Terrorism at the National War College. The author of several books, including "Insurgency and Terrorism" and "The Deadly Embrace: The Impact of Israeli and Palestinian Rejectionism on the Peace Process," O'Neill has lectured extensively on the Middle East, insurgency and terrorism. He also serves as a consultant to numerous U.S. government agencies, including the Joint Chiefs of Staff, CIA and NSA, and is a guest analyst for CBS, CNN, C-Span, the Asian News Network and NPR.

This event is free and open to the public with free parking in the South Lot, the West Campus Central Lot (behind Rasmuson Hall), the Sports Lot and the Sports NW Lot. This event is cosponsored with the Alaska World Affairs Council.
