Gordon Hartlieb Hall (GHH) closed May 8-9

The Gordon Hartlieb Hall (GHH) facility will be closed and inaccessible May 8-9. Contractors will be onsite working and the building's electrical system will be shut off for extended periods of time. For your safety, please do not attempt to access the facility during this time.

They're both mature, responsible homeowners themselves, are comfortable with dogs and are willing to look after your place while you're away. Environmental Research Field Work Paid Opportunity

Looking for motivated individuals who love to spend the Alaska summer and fall outdoors. The Applied Environmental Research Center (AERC) is looking for individuals to participate in various field projects ranging from moose browse to fish to invasive species to forestry on Joint Base Richardson-Elmendorf (JBER), for the months of May through November (may change based on field season) at a rate of $1,900 per month (participant stipend).

Update on UAA Chancellor Search

UA Interim President Pat Pitney is considering all input as she consults with the Board of Regents on who will fill the role of UAA’s next chancellor. The announcement is anticipated for the week of May 10.

Join us May 1 and 2 as we celebrate UAA’s spring Class of 2021! The video ceremonies will include messages from Interim Chancellor Schultz, UAA leadership, 2021’s student speakers and feature special performances from the UAA Department of Music. Each graduate will be recognized with personalized slides announcing the accomplishments of over 1,000 new UAA alumni.

UAA to graduate more than 1,000 students this spring

UAA is proud to celebrate spring Class of 2021 graduates via video ceremonies for graduate hooding on May 1 and commencement on May 2. The ceremonies will be hosted on UAA’s graduation website and will honor the accomplishments of more than 1,000 certificate, undergraduate and graduate students from the Anchorage campus.
