The Alaska Cold War Conference presents Sergei Khrushchev, son of former Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev, for a keynote address, "Cold War Warriors: Eisenhower, Kennedy and Khrushchev." Sergei Khrushchev is noted for his memoirs about his experiences growing up in the Cold War-era Soviet Union.

"You Want To Be An Artist???" is an exhibition of recent work exploring the concept of art as a career by Jenna Gerrety, winner of the 2013 No Big Heads Self-Portrait competition. The show is on display through Sept. 24, along with an an Art Card Trading Wall.
