Students make decisions for the new Seawolf Investment Fund

UAA students study investment options in the classroom.

This spring, students in Alex Slivka’s Student Managed Portfolio course were the first to have the opportunity to make recommendations for the new Seawolf Investment Fund, a $1 million gift made by UAA alumnus Gary Klopfer and his wife, Jane Cuddy Klopfer, in 2021.

Kachemak Bay Writers’ Conference returns to in-person

UAA leadership at the 2022 Kachemak Bay Writers' Conference in Homer.

Seventy-five writers of all levels gathered in Homer to learn from local writers and authors, as well as hear from Pulitzer Prize winning poet and conference keynote speaker, Jericho Brown. The 2022 conference marks the return to an in-person event and the first time it took place on the Kachemak Bay Campus.

Monday, May 30, we commemorate Memorial Day to honor the military service members who have served our nation and fallen in the line of duty. As we prepare for the long weekend, we remember and honor their ultimate sacrifice and thank their families and other loved ones who have so personally and directly borne their loss.

Priority Registration for UAA student organizations and campus departments is now open for #CKO22 on Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022. Priority registration for the campus community will end May 31, 2022, when registration will open to community partners, businesses and non-profits.
