How do sharks swallow?

Shark expert Dr. Cheryl Wilga, a UAA professor, researcher and director of the Department of Biological Sciences, is working among an extensive scientific collaboration of scientists from many institutions to evaluate how sharks "shrug their shoulders" to swallow.

Students and staff: Please be aware that as of Sept. 11, 2017, the replacement fee for a lost or stolen Wolfcard will be increasing to $20. There is still no charge for your first card, or to replace a damaged card if you turn it in.

UA Board of Regents to hear updates on Strategic Pathways, single college of education and system organization - Sept. 14-15, 2017

UA President Jim Johnsen will discuss an update on the single College of Education and initial thoughts on Strategic Pathways Phase 3 during the next meeting of the Board of Regents Sept. 14-15, 2017, in Juneau. Progress on the Voluntary Resolution Agreement with the Office for Civil Rights with updated campus scorecards will be included in Title IX discussions.
