Call for submissions: Rapid Fire presentations for the 2022 Community Engagement Forum

Faculty and non-profit organizations are invited to share a two-minute Rapid Fire summary of your community-engaged work. Faculty may choose to highlight a current project with a community entity. Community agencies who are looking to partner with university faculty may also want to include a discussion of the project(s) you would like to partner on. Space is limited.

March 31: UAA Ballot Box Bash

Job opening: Recruitment and Retention of Alaska Natives into Nursing (RRANN) Program Coordinator

This position is a new position in the College of Health/School of Nursing developed to provide leadership to the RRANN program in the recruitment and retention of Alaska Native/American Indian students in their pursuit of a nursing degree.

National Public Health Week - Stress Reduction Video Series

A team of UAA students have been working with the Student Health and Counseling Center to develop a series of videos that aim to help students manage stress.The video series will be released during National Public Health Week. Keep an eye out on the UAA Peer Health Educator social media pages for more info.

Fall adoptions deadline extended to April 4

The deadline to submit Fall textbooks has been extended to April 4. As you are submitting course material adoptions to the UAA Online Bookstore, we wanted to make sure you had access to different available resources.

Faculty: Please RSVP for commencement ceremonies

Faculty, you are invited to participate in UAA's spring 2022 commencement ceremonies and the Reunion Commencement at the Alaska Airlines Center. The ceremonial hooding of master's and doctoral degree candidates will be included in each commencement.

UAA professor’s work included in reauthorization of Violence Against Women Act

Angelia Trujillo, associate professor in the School of Nursing, has made it her life’s work to make sure nurses and providers have the tools they need to support victims of violence. She worked with Senator Lisa Murkowski on language that was included in a national bill just signed into law.
