Spring 2017 wellness updates

Time to Move Challenge UA would like to remind everyone of the upcoming wellness challenge. This is the second University-sponsored challenge that will count toward the annual incentive plan and is available for all employees, spouses and FIPs currently enrolled in the Choice Health Plan.

You must register ahead of time to participate. Enrollment will be open from March 20-27. You will want to log in to Healthyroads.com (from single sign-on link if you are an employee). Go to the Challenges tab and then select Enroll when you see Time to Move.

The goal of the challenge is to get at least 30 minutes of activity, five days a week, from March 29-April 25. Activity will be uploaded through the new Connected! portion of Healthyroads.com by a fitness device, app or self-reporting through a supported site: Fitbit.com. You can track your progress either through the Connected! tab or within the challenge itself through the Challenges tab. All data and information must be entered and complete by April 26. One incentive credit will be earned if all requirements are met.

If you have any questions, please contact our program manager from Healthyroads, Sara Rodewald, at sararo@ashn.com or (907) 450-8203.

UA's Wellness Program Reminder The April 30 deadline to complete all requirements for the FY16 plan year is quickly approaching. We want to remind all employees and spouses/FIPs that are currently enrolled in the UA Choice Plan that you still have time to complete the following requirements:

  1. Complete a Personal Health Assessment (PHA)
  2. Get a biometric screening
  3. Earn five additional credits

Once these are complete you will be eligible to earn a rebate of up to $600 for you and $600 for your spouse/FIP. The wellness rebate will be paid out in bi-weekly payments or "credits" on your paycheck, just like you pay for health insurance.

As a reminder, all program-related information is posted online through the UA benefits page. You can also view the incentive guidelines and requirements through the Healthyroads website. (Employees should access the site utilizing the single sign-on link.) Once logged into Healthyroads.com you can view the information under the Incentives tab.

If you have any questions, please contact our program manager from Healthyroads, Sara Rodewald, at sararo@ashn.com or (907) 450-8203.
