UAA Alumni Association announces new board members

In an effort to better serve the needs and interests of the University of Alaska Anchorage and its alumni, the UAA Alumni Association Board of Directors has recently expanded its board from eight to 15 members. The UAA Alumni Association is excited to announce its new and returning board members.  The association sought out nominations from UAA alumni from across the state, the nation and the north that could represent its cultural, geographic and professionally diverse alumni base while serving the betterment of the University of Alaska Anchorage.  UAA and its alumni are experiencing increased recognition at the local, state and national level and alumni activity has increased across the globe.  

The following representatives will be officially adopted into office by the association's current Board of Directors during a June meeting and will begin their terms of service beginning July 1, 2007.

•    MaryAnn Hanson, Anchorage - (current board member - will be serving a second 3-year term, expiring in 2010)
•    Vanessa Norman, Anchorage - 3-year term (expiring in 2010)
•    Skye Rubadeau McRoberts, Anchorage - 3-year term (expiring in 2010)
•    Hilary Currey, Wasilla - 3-year term (expiring in 2009)
•    Jeffery Roe, Anchorage - 3-year term (expiring in 2010)
•    Karla Beller, Chugiak - 2-year term (expiring in 2009)
•    Robert Hagmaier, Lake Oswego, Oregon - 2-year term (expiring in 2010)
•    George Skladal, Anchorage - 2-year term (expiring in 2009)

For any reason these elected alumni representatives are unable to accept this nomination to serve, seats will be filled in the following order:

•    B. Randall Bohall
•    Kevin McCaffrey
•    Ryan Warren
