Stay Connected during COVID-19
All in person events on the UAA campus may be cancelled due to statewide and local measures to contain the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) but that doesn't stop you from staying engaged with virtual events!
Representatives of every registered student club come together as Club Council, an official branch of USUAA and the governing body for all student clubs at UAA. Club Council promotes student interaction and involvement, registers student clubs, assist clubs with events and activities and grants funding to registered student clubs. Business of Club Council is guided by Robert’s Rules of Order and is in accordance with the USUAA Constitution. All other information, policies, and operating procedures may be found in the Club Council Bylaws.
Club Council meetings take place on Fridays at 1pm and are open to the public. Club Council representatives can participate in fall semester meetings via Zoom.
October 23 (Haunted Halloween Fun Night on Oct. 24)
Club Council meetings begin with an open forum to allow individuals, clubs, departments, non-profits, businesses, etc. to promote their upcoming events and opportunities. If you would like to speak at a meeting or submit an item to the agenda, please send your request to firstname.lastname@example.org . All agenda and open forum requests must be submitted by noon the Wednesday prior to any scheduled meeting.
If there is a compelling reason preventing all members of a student club from attending the Club Council meetings, the club may submit an attendance waiver on UAALife.
Leading Club Council is no small feat! These leaders can help you manage your club and provide guidance regarding Club Council bylaws and meetings. The Club Council Chair and Business Manager hold office hours online.
