Oct. 12 declared Senior Friendly Day at UAA

Chancellor Ulmer has declared Oct. 12 Senior Friendly Day at UAA. The declaration was recommended to Chancellor Ulmer by UAA's Human Services Club as a way to honor the Alaskan elders who give so much to our community. Senior Friendly Day will demonstrate how UAA successfully combines generations and promotes good relationships throughout the Anchorage community.
Also on Oct. 12, the Human Services Club will hold its annual Fall Function and fund-raising event to benefit local non-profit organizations. This year, the club hopes to generate funds for the Older Persons Action Group (OPAG) scholarship fund.
