The UAA School of Engineering and the Ralph and Betty George Engineering Ethics Speaker Series welcomes Deborah Long, Ed.D. to campus on Friday, June 27 for a workshop entitled, "What's My Ethical IQ?" A breakfast reception will be held at 8 a.m. prior to the workshop.

Workshop Synopsis
Could what happen to Enron happen to your engineering firm? Are engineers more ethical than attorneys or real estate agents? Join ethics educator Deborah Long in a compelling discussion of:

  • What does the public think about the integrity of licensed professionals?
  • Are engineers and surveyors ethical?
  • How ethically mature am I?
  • How can our firm/government agency foster ethical development?

A native of Chicago, Ms. Long earned her B.S. and M.S. degrees at the University of Illinois. In 1994, Ms. Long earned her doctorate in the field of educational leadership with an emphasis in ethics education. Ms. Long is a veteran educator who provides continuing education programs to licensed professionals.
