Chugiak-Eagle River Campus holds Chalkapalooza event

Bear Paw Festival, Eagle River

UAA's Chugiak-Eagle River Campus is coordinating a sidewalk chalk event at the Bear Paw Festival in Eagle River on July 11 from 1-8 p.m. The Campus is currently seeking artists, either business sponsored or individual, who are interested in participating in this event. Children are also encouraged to participate.

The event will take place on the sidewalk along the street in front of Garcia's Restaurant. The artwork areas are roughly 4'x3'. Children's areas are 1.5'x1.5'. A 24-piece set of Chalk Pastels will be provided to artists.

All proceeds from this event will go to Shawn Stockwell and his family. Shawn is a 9-year-old boy from Eagle River who is awaiting a heart transplant at Stanford Medical Center.
