E-learning for University employees will continue

by Kathleen McCoy  |

The University of Alaska and SkillSoft signed a three-year contract for online training and development resources available to all active University employees.

For those not familiar with employee e-learning, the online courses and materials are available at no charge to all active University employees. E-learning provides an opportunity for employees to develop new skills on their own time or request approval from a supervisor to complete job-related training and development during their work hours. More information on the new resources will be communicated in the coming weeks with demonstrations scheduled throughout the year.

Employees may access "Employee e-learning" through UA Online, MyUA and at the Statewide HR Web site.

Sessions to familiarize employees with the available resources will be scheduled throughout the year and upon request. The next online demonstration session is Friday, Feb. 13 at 9 a.m. The link to join with a toll-free phone number is posted at the HR Web site .
