Spring 2009: Interdisciplinary health simulation demo is planned for Thursday

by Kathleen McCoy  |

Today, April 9, 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Student Union, Room 103 (Lyla Richards Conference Room)

Interdisciplinary health simulation is an opportunity for health students in medicine, nursing, allied health and laboratory sciences to experience a more realistic training experience in health care or emergency services situations.

Simulation allows faculty and students of all skill levels to train in a realistic environment with the goal of improving patient care and safety. Join us as we take UAA health education to the next level!

The demonstration will take place today from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Lyla Richards Conference Room (SU 103).

Not able to attend the demonstration? Students can still experience simulation by dropping by SU 103 anytime during the Health Care Expo, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., on April 9 for an interactive experience. Faculty will be on hand to explain simulation and diagnostic equipment.
