by Kathleen McCoy  |

Tuesday, June 8, 10:30 a.m. UAA/APU Consortium Library, room 307

In partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Science in Biology, Emily Lescak will defend his thesis: "Selection for Pelvic Girdle Phenotypes in Threespine Stickleback (Gasterosteus aculeatus) from Wallace Lake, Alaska."

The threespine stickleback population from Wallace Lake, Alaska, is unusual in that it demonstrates a seemingly stable bimodal distribution of pelvic scores, with strong modes at fully-formed and highly reduced phenotypes. Advisor: Professor Frank von Hippel. Faculty, students and the general public are invited.
