Auditions for UAA production 'Singin' in the Rain' set for Sept. 11

Auditions for the upcoming UAA Theatre production of Singin' in the Rain will be held on Saturday, Sept. 11 by appointment from 3-7 p.m. Call backs will be held on Sunday, Sept. 12 at 6 p.m.

We are looking for 10-15 men and 10-15 women. Auditioners should sing, dance or perform a monologue.  Each person will have two minutes. Please pick your strongest area, and if there is time you will have the opportunity to demonstrate in another area.

At callbacks everyone will be asked to read, dance and sing something. We are looking for actors who may not necessarily have to sing, and dancers who don't necessarily have to sing or act, etc. The leads must be able to do all three and do them well.

Scripts will be available for 24-hour checkout at the Fine Arts office, Room 302, with a $10 refundable deposit. You may also rent the movie as it is nearly identical to the play. The movie is NOT available from the department.
