Deputy State Historic Preservation Officer and State Historian for the State of Alaska Joan Antonson, will speak on "An Alaskan Perspective: Teaching History."

The Polaris Lecture Series is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by Institutional Effectiveness, Engagement & Academic Support; UAA Democracy Forum; Forty-Ninth State Fellows Program; University Honors College, The Polaris Society; with assistance from U. S. Department of Education; Alaska Humanities Forum and Intercollegiate Studies Institute.
