KRUA 88.1 FM, UAA's student run radio station, began transmitting in the spring of 1987 when it was not known as KRUA, but as KMPS? During this time, the staff borrowed a small transmitter from Augie Hiebert of Northern Television Inc. Now, KRUA broadcasts more than 30 shows ranging from garage rock to hip hop to public affairs to blues. You can listen on your traditional radio, or online at http://www.kruaradio.org.
