The Arctic FASD RTC is recruiting health and allied health care professionals who are interested in becoming FASD trainers. Through attendance at a two-day workshop, health and allied health care professionals will be prepared to provide FASD education and training to their colleagues and communities.

The two-day workshops are based on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's FASD Competency-Based Curriculum. Supplementing this curriculum, the workshop will offer materials and resources that participants can use to conduct trainings within their own agencies, institutions and communities.

All participants in the workshop will receive a certificate identifying them as a certified FASD Competency-Based trainer. Continuing education credits are also available. Registration is required. Please register by noon on Friday, Jan. 7.

The target audience for this workshop includes:

  • Health and allied health professionals
  • Students in health and allied health programs
  • Educators
  • All individuals who wish to become trainers using this curriculum
