2011 Heart Run

The 2011 American Heart Association Heart Run will take place Saturday, April 30 starting in the UAA Fine Arts parking lot. If you're planning to be on campus that day, please be aware that campus will be busy and some roads will be blocked. Entries into student housing will be temporarily blocked for the run.

Students: If you have a scheduled final exam on campus on Saturday, expect heavy traffic and allow extra time to get to your exam.

Parking for Heart Run participants will be available in:

  • North Parking Lot
  • West Campus Central Lot
  • Sports Center Northwest Lot
  • Sports Center West Lot
  • Health Sciences Building Lot
  •  Library Northeast Lot
  • Library Main Lot
  • King Career Center Parking Lot
  • Third level of ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Building Parking Garage (reserved for Heart Run volunteers only)

Parking for UAA patrons will be available in:

  • West Parking Lot (Hooding Ceremony)
  • East Campus Central Lot
  • Bottom two levels of East Campus Central Parking Garage
  • Bottom two levels of ConocoPhillips Integrated Science Building Parking Garage
  • A portion of South Lot (AHAINA Graduation)
  • A portion of West Campus Central Log (Hooding Reception)

Click here for a map of UAA's campus. Shuttles will run every 15 minutes from 8:30 a.m. until noon to take people to and from race start and parking lots. Race participants are encouraged to carpool or utilize public transportation as there are several other events happening on campus the same day. Parking volunteers will be on hand to direct traffic.
