Sunday, Sept. 18, 6 p.m.
UAA Mainstage, Fine Arts Building, Room 220

Auditions for William Shakespeare's comedy The Taming of the Shrew will take place on the UAA Mainstage Sunday, Sept. 18 at 6 p.m. Scripts are available for 24-hour checkout (with $10.00 refundable deposit) in room 302 of the UAA Fine Arts Building.

Shakespeare's fiery masterpiece The Taming of the Shrew is the quintessential battle-of-the-sexes comedy! Our modern interpretation promises rollicking high jinks and a hilarious peek into gender politics. There are many excellent roles for men and women of all ages. You must sign up in the Arts Office (ARTS 302) or call (907) 786-1792 for a specific audition time. I ask everyone to bring a two-minute Shakespearean monologue to recite or read. Please do not select speeches from The Taming of the Shrew.

Please address questions to the director, Prof. David Edgecombe at (907) 786-1794 or visit the Department of Theatre and Dance website.
