We are very proud of UAA staff and faculty support of the annual Anchorage Heart Walk. This year's Heart Walk is Saturday, Sept. 17. The Heart Walk celebrates those who have made lifestyle changes and encourages many more to take the pledge to live healthier lifestyles. At UAA we know the importance of healthy lifestyles and the importance of participating in events that promote a healthier community.

The Alaska Heart Walk raises funds for the American Heart Association, the largest voluntary health organization working to prevent, treat and defeat heart disease, stroke and other cardiovascular diseases. These diseases, the Nation's No. 1 and No. 3 killers, claim more than 865,000 American lives a year.

Thank you for your past participation in the Anchorage Heart Walk and we encourage you to sign up again this year to support the Heart Walk.
