UAA professors Bogdan Hoanca and Kenrick Mock (pictured above) presented last week at the UAA Bookstore on their newly patented system of computer identity authentication that uses gaze tracking and iris scanning. This multi-factor authentication method uses a combination of eye-related biometrics to increase information security for victims of shoulder surfing or virtual-world hackers. For a video interview with Dr. Mock, visit the bookstore website. For an in-depth look into Mock and Hoanca's research, read more online at the Anchorage Daily News.
