Nov. 15-16, 2011: CAFE, 20-Minute Mentor sessions

Spend 20 minutes getting ready for your spring semester classes. The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) will be hosting a series of sessions based on the Magna 20 Minute Mentor Series. Each session will include a 20-minute audio presentation on the selected topic, followed by a facilitated discussion with fellow faculty members to share concerns and ideas for new methods and techniques to improve your teaching.

  • Specific ways you can contribute
  • How you can help students contribute
  • The "pet peeves" of both faculty and students, and how to overcome them
  • What constitutes a memorable, positive experience for students and faculty alike
