The story behind Blackboard Mobile
Who knows a student's needs better than a student? Blackboard Mobile was born from
a group of students at Stanford University who started thinking about ways to engage
fellow students and faculty on their mobile devices. The vision: Bring a variety of
student and faculty services to mobile devices. This group worked with Stanford University,
conceptualizing iStanford as the nascent version of Blackboard Mobile Central. In
July 2009, the group joined Blackboard Inc. to establish Blackboard Mobile. Now, UAA
has this new tool, too.
