Feb. 4, 2012: 'Clarinet Spectacular'

Experience the "Clarinet Spectacular" at UAA on Saturday, Feb. 4.  UAA clarinet professor Mark Wolbers leads the members of the UAA Clarinet Ensemble in a performance of music by W. A. Mozart, Gordon Jacob, Francine Trester, Paul Harvey, Max Dubois, Edward Elgar and more. Clarinets of all sizes are featured in this concert ranging from the 18-inch Eb soprano clarinet to the 8-foot BBb contra-clarinet!

The clarinet ensembles at UAA have garnered numerous awards. They have been the recipient of two undergraduate research grants, were selected twice as UAA Student Showcase winners and have been frequent winners for spots in the annual Symphony of Sounds concerts, including the concerts this year on March 2 and 4, 2012. Over their eight-year history, the UAA clarinet ensembles have presented over 100 public performances.
