Lecture by Dr. Trita Parsi at UAA Campus BookstoreThursday, Feb. 9, 5-7 p.m.
UAA Campus Bookstore

Dr. Trita Parsi is the President of the National Iranian American Council and former Public Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars. He is the author of the book A Single Roll of the Dice - Obama's Diplomacy with Iran (2012) and the book Treacherous Alliance - The Secret Dealings of Iran, Israel and the United States (2007)--the silver medal winner of the 2008 Arthur Ross Book Award, and the winner of the 2010 Grawemeyer Award for Ideas Improving World Order.

Everyone is encouraged to come and learn about U.S. policies toward Iran from a Middle East expert. According to Reza Aslam, "No one in the United States knows more about Iran, or can speak more authoritatively about the complex historical relationship between Iran and the U.S. than Trita Parsi. A Single Roll of the Dice is a must read."

This event is co-sponsored with the Alaska World Affairs Council. The event is free, open to the public, with free parking in the South Lot (just across from the bookstore). For more information, see the bookstore website or contact Rachel Epstein at anre@uaa.alaska.edu or (907) 786-4782.
