by Jamie Gonzales  |

Saturday and Sunday, March 10-11, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. (both days)
Fine Arts Building, Mainstage Theatre (Room 220)

As part of UAA's College of Arts and Sciences Experience the Arts series, UAA's Department of Theatre and Dance is sponsoring Acting for the Camera: A Weekend Workshop, presented by Deborah Schildt (CSA) and Stacy Boles, local casting agents for The Big Miracle, The Frozen Ground and other films.

This workshop is free and open to the public, though actual on-camera participants will be limited to approximately 32 members. Seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis with a maximum capacity of 150. Those who wish to participate on-camera should submit a head shot and resume to Stacy or Deborah for consideration at: actingforthecameraak@gmail.com.

Those selected will be announced on the first day of the workshop, followed by a discussion of why they were selected based on their submission. Professional quality headshots are not required but are encouraged, and it is hoped that all age groups and experience levels will be represented. There may be a photographer available on site for those who wish to have a quality headshot taken for a reasonable fee.

To sign up, call Anna Owens, the UAA Fine Arts secretary, at (907) 786- 1766, or stop by Room 302 in the Fine Arts Building.
