Focusing on the theme of suicide in literature is one way to raise awareness of the emotional toll sorrow takes which many people live with. How a character's suicide is portrayed and what we can learn from literature by talking openly about suicide will be central to the discussion.

- Don Rearden, author of Raven's Gift and professor with University Honor's College and College of Preparatory and Developmental Studies
- Eskimo Bob (Bob Petersen), cyber radio host of "Eskimo Bob Lives"
- Zebadiah Kraft, an army veteran and UAA English major
